They have strong-smelling black roots, hairy stems, and basal leaves on long leafstalks. Its cone-shaped flowering heads are usually, but not always purple. This is called as Echinacea purpurea (Eastern purple coneflower or Purple coneflower).
Echinacea is commonly believed to stimulate the immune system!

That is a very detailed shot. Cone flowers are always so beautiful and hardy flowers.
