The Crown imperial or Kaiser’s Crown is a member of the genus Fritillaria, family Liliaceae. It grows to about 1 meter (3 feet) in height, and bears lance shaped, glossy leaves, at intervals along the stem. It bears a prominent whorl of downward facing flowers at the top of the stem., topped by a ‘crown’ of small leaves, hence the name.
I took this photo with my lens pointing up. I actually kneeled and look up to get this photo.

Now that it is rainy season, I used to see toads living near my sister’s house. This toad is resting in a corner and I grab taking a photo.

Big brown jar (2)

I took this photo during my weekend holiday in our hometown. This jar is quiet big and it adds beauty to our garden’s landscape. Mostly during cold days, I saw some creatures like small frogs which are living inside this big brown jar.
