Behind this portrait represents a mariners’ life. A sailor travels around the globe and meet different cultures and women. He has with him that piece of ring; searching for an accurate finger of a lady, supposed to be his lifetime partner. Fortunately, from thousands of roses, he met a single star that shines perfectly bright and brought her finally to the altar and swore each other in union for better or for worst, richer or poorer, sickness and health, till death they as part.
Love as I see it was like the stars, there were billions of them, but only one will shines bright and make your dreams come true. And that was how my father found his shooting star.
This is my entry to “Love as I see it”. A project of www.islandrose.net flowers Philippines.

“This photo story post was one of the Islandrose contest finalists.”

My husband Mark and I were doing some photographic skills and few techniques before. We miss that hobby for quite some time. Then one day, while browsing on the internet, I stumbled upon a website with an ongoing contest. The theme is all about love and the winner will get a whooping USD2,300+. It was interesting so it brought us to do some photographs again. Although we didn’t came up with the best photo with the right theme they required, we are happily satisfied with some of the photos we had taken while strolling some of the well-known places in Metro Manila. Some of the photos above were taken at Harbour Square Bay Area of CCP Complex; and the beautiful night street lights of SM Mall of Asia.
I’ve always seen this kind of caterpillar in our vegetable garden. Besides, I’ve caught this kind for few times too, during the preparation of cooking broccoli or cauliflower dish. I’ve always wanted to have the pictures of this tiny creepy creature because I actually find them a bit cute and I like its color with stripy white on its body and I like the way they crawl.
Now that Round Robin came up with another challenge: I’ve always wanted to photograph, I thought that this can be the best time to share these pictures.
